2048 is a free online sliding number puzzle game played on a 4×4 grid. Use your arrow keys (or swipe on mobile) to move all the tiles at once. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with double the value. The goal is to create a tile with the number 2048.
The most effective 2048 strategy is to keep your highest-value tile in one corner and build a chain of tiles leading to it. Try to always move in two directions — for example, only left and down — so your biggest tile stays anchored. Avoid moving tiles upward unless absolutely necessary, as this often breaks your carefully arranged chain.
